Peekaboard

Games for two, across the fold

Peekaboard is a table of games for two people and one iPhone. Version 1.0 has one game, Naval Duel. Each player hides a toy fleet on their half of the sea, the players take turns to fire at the other half, and the first to sink the whole enemy fleet wins. Play Captain Rojo on your own, or a friend on the same phone, with a cover screen between turns so nobody sees the other fleet. On iPhone Duo you lay the phone flat between you and fold your half up to peek. On every other iPhone you touch and hold the eye button. It works offline, with no account and no ads.

Games Free iPhone, iOS 27.0 or later. iPhone Duo features need iOS 27.1

On iPhone Duo

Fold your half up to peek

On iPhone Duo, Peekaboard turns the open phone into the table. It lies flat between the two players, each player has one half of the sea, and on your turn you fold the phone up towards you to see your own fleet.

Flat between you

The open Duo is the board. The fold is the line between the two halves of the sea.

Fold up to peek

On your turn, fold the phone up towards yourself and your fleet rises out of the water. Lay it flat again and it sinks out of sight.

A cover screen between turns

The hinge can't tell which half moved, so the board covers itself and asks the next player to take the phone before anything is shown.

The same game on any iPhone

Without a hinge, you touch and hold the eye button to peek.
