I'm Navid, an iOS developer based in the Netherlands. I build small apps on my own and put them on the App Store, 9 of them so far.

Most of what I make starts with a problem I actually have. A comic file my phone refused to open. A PDF too big to email. Noise I wanted to fall asleep to without handing my data to anyone. The apps stay close to that original itch, which is why they tend to be focused rather than broad.

I have a few rules I try not to break. Charge once when I can, instead of renting software back to people every month. Do the work on the device rather than shipping someone's files off to a server. No ads, no third-party tracking SDKs. When I get something wrong, say so, including on this site.

I write Swift all day and write about the parts worth sharing on the blog. What shipped, what broke, and the decisions I'd make differently next time. If you want to see the apps, they're all here.
